Work Environment

This role will be carried out onsite at our dedicated Rehabilitation Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with physicians and the patient care team to manage therapeutic care for patients with orthopedic conditions.
• Conducting thorough patient evaluations to assess their physical capabilities and needs, which will inform tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing and supervising individual therapy sessions that include exercises and specialized treatments aimed at rehabilitation and pain relief.
• Conducting assessments to evaluate functional, therapeutic, and rehabilitation status, contributing essential data to the patient's overall care plan.
• Providing education to patients, their families, and caregivers about therapy regimens, use of prosthetics, and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Setting caseload priorities, managing daily staffing needs, organizing patient assignments, and facilitating efficient care hand-offs.
• Delivering in-home therapy when necessary to promote recovery in a comfortable setting.
• Adhering to all legal and ethical standards in the profession, ensuring compliance with industry codes of ethics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will predominantly consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This patient population is diverse, ranging from young athletes to older adults seeking mobility improvement. You will employ your clinical expertise to develop individualized treatment strategies that inspire confidence and promote healing.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required; however, it must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience in an orthopedic setting is beneficial, it is not required. We welcome recent graduates and seasoned professionals alike to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
