Position Overview Business Development Specialist – Real Estate, Development, and Construction (RDC) Strategic Business Unit. This role will support business development and marketing initiatives for the RDC group and may be filled in a hybrid capacity in office locations across the country or remotely. Responsibilities Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the group’s attorneys, client base, experience, and market capabilities, and communicate the firm’s value proposition to various audiences. Collaborate with BDMC teams to produce marketing materials—including pitches, RFPs, presentations, and informational sheets—to support new business opportunities. Lead the collection, organization, and maintenance of data in business development databases. Research and develop profile‑raising opportunities for partners and key practices, coordinating sponsorships and speaking engagements. Support the planning and execution of SBU events and webinars, including attendee analysis and follow‑up. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business development activities. Work collaboratively with BDMC colleagues and other departments on cross‑functional initiatives. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the SBU and firm‑wide business development efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field; 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to draft compelling proposals and research reports. Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. High level of maturity and confidence to interact with sophisticated internal and external clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet research tools; knowledge of InterAction and Foundation a plus. Professional and courteous demeanor with a professional appearance required. Strong computer skills and ability to produce accurate, high‑quality work efficiently. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and maintain confidentiality. Compensation & Benefits Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience.
