This position allows licensed professionals to work remotely, leveraging technology to conduct virtual therapy sessions. Our telehealth facility utilizes advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, enabling seamless documentation and client management. You will work in a collaborative setting, frequently communicating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments through virtual consultations, documenting client histories and defining needs.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health using evidence-based tools and approaches.

• Develop, implement, and monitor tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote coping skills and resilience.
\n
• Maintain ongoing documentation of client progress and therapeutic interventions in our electronic health record system.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals to refine treatment strategies and ensure effective communication across care providers.

• Engage with case managers and follow up with medical staff regarding clients admitted to inpatient care.
\n
• Identify risk behaviors that may hinder recovery and proactively develop strategies to address these challenges.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and caregivers, assisting them in supporting their loved ones’ mental health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will serve a diverse population of clients dealing with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will work closely with individuals seeking to overcome personal challenges and improve their overall well-being. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated previous experience in a mental health counseling role.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for efficient client documentation and management.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Specific experience working with clients facing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with industry best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A deep understanding of the impact and side effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, along with outstanding interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
