Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, meticulously documenting their journeys from the initial consultation through every stage of treatment.

• Evaluate and assess mental, behavioral, and emotional health issues in clients, using established assessment tools and methodologies.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families, ensuring that each plan is tailored to specific needs and goals.

• Facilitate engaging and interactive individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, insight, and skills development.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and improve client outcomes.

• Follow up with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and attending physicians, for any clients who require hospitalization or additional medical support.
\n
• Identify and proactively address behavioral patterns that may hinder recovery, using evidence-based techniques to facilitate positive change.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing education and coping strategies to manage mental and behavioral health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse adult and adolescent population experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your role is crucial in fostering resilience and empowering clients to navigate their unique life circumstances while providing crisis intervention when needed.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is essential.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is necessary.

• Demonstrated previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a track record of effective client outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records and treatment plans.

• Experience working with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, along with addiction disorders.

• A deep understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of prescribed medications on physical and mental health.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on developing rapport and trust with clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic nature that allows for meaningful connections with clients and their families.
