About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Store Operations to play a pivotal role in the organization's expansion. The successful candidate will be a hands-on retail operations executive with a proven track record in scaling regional, specialty, or emerging retail businesses. This role is not for the faint-hearted; it requires a leader who can create and implement the necessary processes, leadership structure, and operational discipline to support the company's growth while preserving its culture, customer experience, and entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of progressive multi-unit retail operations leadership experience, with a strong background in P&L management, financial acumen, and a history of developing and managing high-performing teams. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Store Operations include direct accountability for multi-unit store performance, profitability, talent, and customer experience, as well as supporting new store openings and geographic expansion. The role demands a strategic thinker who can also execute hands-on, and the ability to balance executive-level strategy with operational execution is essential. The candidate must be comfortable in a founder-led, entrepreneurial, or rapidly evolving environment, and be willing to travel to remain closely connected to stores and field leadership. A successful candidate will have a background in specialty retail, regional retail chains, or similar, and experience in operational areas such as labor productivity, store economics, and operational KPIs. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, adaptable, and ownership-driven environment, and who can identify and drive solutions to operational gaps with a sense of urgency and sound decision-making.
