Med Surg Nurse RN

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse for a 14-bed adult medical-surgical unit. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in hospital or similar care settings. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
• Perform patient assessments and administer medications safely.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Float to other medical-surgical departments as needed.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations based on department needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital or medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in medical-surgical units or similar settings.
• Previous experience with floating to multiple departments.

Special Considerations:

• Floating to other medical-surgical departments may be required.
• Weekend and holiday rotation based on department needs.
• Patient ratio is approximately 1:5.

Scheduling:

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled by the department.
