What You ll Do

• Manage post-op thoracic surgery patients in a hospital setting
• Perform chest tube, Blake drain, and pigtail management
• Assist with ABG, NGT, G and J feeding tubes
• Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients per shift
• Collaborate with the surgical team and ICU staff
• Respond to emergencies as a first responder when necessary
• Provide acute and ongoing patient assessments and documentation using Epic EMR
• Support patient transfers, histories, and physical exams as needed
• Function primarily solo with available support from a fellow when busy

What You Need

• NCCPA Board Certification
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Active DEA registration
• Minimum 1 year of thoracic or surgical patient care experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
