We are seeking a Solution Consultant who has passion for showing our global customers a better way to solve their business challenges. As a Solution Consultant, you will partner with AspenTech sales teams in APJ during the sales cycle to lead in consultative discovery process with customers, craft a vision and roadmap of a solution that addresses customer requirements, identifying differentiated value capture potential, and an implementation/sustainment program for that solution. This involves maintaining a keen understanding of the AspenTech product strategy, value enablers, professional services and partner execution capabilities, and sales pipeline to drive opportunities where AspenTech solutions can bring significant business value to our customers and to AspenTech. This Solution Consultant provides consultative sales support for AspenTech's geological modelling software. You will need to understand customer challenges and industry drivers, support the development of a vision and roadmap of a solution that addresses customer requirements, build and justify business cases to secure client investment, and provide support to the direct sales force in the sales process. This is a customer-facing role that requires self-motivated individuals with strong business and technical knowledge along with solid pre-sales consultative and communication skills to position AspenTech solutions and services with our customers. Frequent international travel is required to help create and drive opportunities across APJ, including India. Your Impact Provide customer facing sales support by demonstrating expertise in geomodelling software. Lead technical sales support for assigned opportunities to maximise product and services bookings. Apply consultative skills in customer-facing situations to identify customer problems, understand their business and operational issues, and establish a credible value proposition. Facilitate customer understanding of geomodelling solutions technical functionality, impact on process operations and value creation. Integrate geological and geophysical data to construct accurate and detailed reservoir models. Evaluate and interpret geological data to identify and map reservoir properties, such as porosity and permeability. Work with reservoir engineers and production engineers to ensure the accuracy of models and support reservoir management activities. Conduct uncertainty and sensitivity analysis to assess the risk and uncertainty of reservoir models. Deliver technical presentations and perform software demonstrations for customers as required. Develop commercial proposals for assigned opportunities. Respond to RFI / RFQ / RFP questionnaires as required. Proactively support sales pipeline development (e.g. marketing, account planning, awareness session, etc.) and be responsible for sales execution (e.g. achieving technical win, establishing Sequence of events) in the assigned accounts and opportunities. Acts as business partner to sales team in meeting short to long term planning activities. What You'll Need Bachelor Degree in Petroleum Geoscience/Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in upstream geological modelling software, preferably with a national oil company or equivalent. Proven experience in using Aspen RMS and/or Aspen SKUA software Strong collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement workflows and best practices for geological modelling. Stay up to date on industry trends, and advancements in geological modelling techniques and software. Strong drive to solve customer problems, and swiftly convert pipeline opportunities into closed deals. Intellectual curiosity, grit, resilience and good balance of business and technology acumen. Enjoys customer facing with good experience in presenting and does consultative selling. Strong problem solving, and analytical skills, including making clear observations and conclusions based on customer interviews and data. #J-18808-Ljbffr
