Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The RN will utilize the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice to assess patients, develop individualized care plans, provide treatments, and evaluate patient outcomes. Requirements Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license Current BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications Must maintain all required certifications throughout the assignment Must practice in accordance with the Washington Nurse Practice Act Must adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies, procedures, and standards Must be willing to float as a sitter May be required to float to other units on a rotational basis Key Responsibilities Coordinate and provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Perform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in condition. Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans. Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments according to established standards. Accurately document assessments, interventions, care provided, patient responses, and plans of care. Collect and evaluate patient information necessary to provide safe and effective care. Address patients’ physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs. Evaluate discharge plans and identify educational needs or required changes. Educate patients, families, and significant others regarding appropriate health information and provide written educational materials. Maintain current knowledge of clinical workflows, processes, and evidence-based nursing practices. Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel. Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team. Participate in performance improvement and evaluation activities with the Director/Clinical Manager. Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital and unit policies. Float as a sitter when required and participate in the unit's floating rotation as assigned.
