Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to significantly impact our elderly clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Regular hours are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. As part of our outpatient clinic team, you will leverage technology to engage with clients and healthcare team members, using secure and user-friendly platforms for therapy, assessments, and communication.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents, identifying individual care needs and treatment goals.

• Provide tailored individual and group counseling sessions addressing emotional challenges faced by seniors, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate and implement effective, personalized care plans for each geriatric resident.

• Develop and conduct educational workshops for staff and families, focusing on best practices for supporting the mental well-being of older adults.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling, providing essential support to residents and families navigating end-of-life issues.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and other mental health interventions to encourage cognitive health and emotional resilience among elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on elderly individuals who are experiencing various mental health challenges related to aging. This includes those coping with grief, adjusting to life transitions, and managing chronic illnesses. Your expertise in geriatric mental health will enable you to foster meaningful connections with clients, providing essential support during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid License as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

Compensation and Benefits\n
