Role Description This is a part-time remote Payroll Manager role responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processes for the company. The Payroll Manager will manage payroll administration, ensure accurate and timely payroll runs, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include processing employee compensation, handling garnishments, calculating and remitting payroll taxes, and coordinating with HR and finance on employee benefits and deductions. The role involves maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll discrepancies, responding to employee payroll inquiries, and supporting audits and reporting requirements. The Payroll Manager will also recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Qualifications

Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Management, including end-to-end processing and record keeping.
Knowledge and experience in handling Garnishments and related compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Payroll Taxes, including calculation, reporting, and remittance.
Experience coordinating Employee Benefits with payroll, including deductions and contributions.
Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems; strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Solid understanding of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; prior experience as a Payroll Manager or Payroll Specialist.
