Position Overview

Trails Rehabilitation & Wellness Pro is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team. This full-time position, located in Fairfax, Virginia, involves working onsite in our specialized outpatient office. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in rehabilitating patients with orthopedic ailments, utilizing your expertise to foster recovery and restore function.

Work Environment

You will be working in a modern outpatient facility designed to provide the best patient experience. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering an ideal work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop tailored treatment plans for patients suffering from functional limitations and disabilities, ensuring adherence to relevant state practice acts and supervisory laws.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including the review of medical history, performance of specific assessments, and detailed documentation of results and recommendations.
• Implement effective treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, adapting them to meet the evolving needs of each patient in alignment with industry best practices.
• Engage in collaborative consultations with other healthcare professionals as necessary to optimize patient care and recognize changes in patient conditions that warrant modifications to treatment plans.
• Manage discharge planning, ensuring that patients receive appropriate follow-up care post-therapy and that all documentation related to patient encounters is completed accurately and on time.
• Participate actively in facility meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving access to care and enhancing patient services.
• Stay informed and compliant with corporate, clinical, and governmental training requirements to maintain high standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients of varying age groups facing a range of conditions. Patients may include those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, or rehabilitative needs due to accidents or age-related issues. Your role directly impacts their recovery journey, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, demonstrating a solid foundation in patient evaluation and treatment.
• CPR certification, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While candidates with the required qualifications are welcome, preference will be given to those with specialized training in specific orthopedic techniques and familiarity with assessments like the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) or other rehabilitation tools. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and treatment documentation software is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The remuneration for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
