PT HSE Intake Coordinator

Part-Time Intake CoordinatorBrooklyn Public Library's Adult Learning Program is seeking a Part-Time Intake Coordinator for a grant-funded position within the Adult Learning Education (WIOA) program. This role provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the successful implementation of program services.The Intake Coordinator will manage a variety of day-to-day administrative and participant-facing responsibilities, including data entry, maintaining student records, filing, leading student intakes, recruitment efforts, enrollment sessions, and orientations. This individual will also provide phone and email support, work closely with key program staff, and assist participants with GED applications and related processes.This is a part time grant-funded opportunity through June 30, 2026. The salary for this position is $25 per hour for up to a 19-hour workweek.ResponsibilitiesSupport all aspects of program intake for WIOA-funded classesEnter and maintain accurate data in electronic databases and student records systemsOrganize and maintain student files and intake documentationTriage and respond to telephone calls and email inquiries from prospective participantsFacilitate recruitment, enrollment sessions, and student orientationsAssist participants with GED applications and related support servicesCommunicate and collaborate frequently with program staff and participantsPerform related duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required; Bachelor's degree preferredKnowledge of grant-funded programs and experience supporting successful program implementationStrong computer skills and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and database softwareHighly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent customer service, written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to attend professional development trainings on-site and off-siteMust be able to travel between program sites as neededFlexible availability, including evenings and Saturdays, as requiredDemonstrated initiative and commitment to maintaining high professional standardsWe seek professionals dedicated to providing excellent customer service, developing fruitful partnerships in the community, and implementing programs aligned with our mission and vision.
