Job Description
The Banquet Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Banquet Department, and serve as a primary source of coordination between Banquet Management and Event Services.
Work Requirements
- Process invoices into Birchstreet for accounts payable processing.
- Type correspondence, memos, forms, recipes, labels, etc.
- Scan, fax, email and make copies as needed.
- Ordering office supplies for the department.
- Run reports: monthly/quarterly/ytd.
- Maintain filing.
- Set up appointments with vendors when needed.
- Act as liaison between vendors (wine, entertainment, etc.) and management
- Coordinate Food & Beverage and BEO meetings, print agendas, take minutes.
- Create BEO packets daily/weekly.
- Enter work issues or repairs needed.
- Handle all administrative needs.
- Assist with payroll as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Due to the nature of hospitality, a flexible schedule is required
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills including word, excel and outlook.
- Prior administrative and banquet experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports & correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
