- Develop and execute communications campaigns from planning through completion, including audience identification, messaging, creative development, promotional timelines, social media, email, website updates, media outreach, event-day communications, and post-event follow-up.
- Develop e-newsletters and internal communications and coordinate content across email, website, social media, and other platforms.
- Gather stories, testimonials, photographs, video, and other content that document the Center’s programs, services, community engagement, and impact.
- Photograph Center events and activities as needed and maintain organized digital libraries of photographs, videos, graphics, design files, and other communications assets.
- Assist with public relations activities, including press releases, media communications, press conferences, and other public-facing activities.
- Support communications related to civic engagement and public affairs at the tribal, state, and federal levels, including communications connected to public policy, government relations, and community priorities.
- Monitor communications, social media, email, website, and campaign performance and use analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with leadership and service-area staff to gather information, identify stories, develop accurate content, and effectively communicate programs and services.
- Coordinate with vendors and maintain communications calendars, project timelines, and workflows to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with Center branding and organizational standards.
- Stay current on communications, digital marketing, social media, design, video, storytelling, and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong graphic design and visual communication skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Express, and Canva.
- Experience producing professional print, digital, photographic, and video content for multiple audiences and platforms.
- Experience with Constant Contact, WordPress, Sprout Social, or comparable email, website, and social media management platforms.
- Knowledge of social media marketing, digital communications, web publishing, basic HTML, accessibility, SEO, Google Analytics, and digital performance metrics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling content and adapt messaging for different audiences; knowledge of AP style and news writing preferred.
- Understanding of civic engagement, public affairs, and government processes at the tribal, state, and federal levels, including how public policy, community priorities, and communications intersect.
