Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator

Priority Endodontics in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a dependable, organized receptionist to join our small dental specialty team. This position involves welcoming patients, managing appointments, and handling insurance and front desk responsibilities.

Previous experience with medical or dental insurance is required. Candidates with medical office insurance experience are encouraged to apply; dental office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out.
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Assist with insurance claims, follow-up, and patient billing questions.
• Collect payments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate with referring offices.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to support the daily schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with medical or dental insurance benefit verification.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional phone manner.
• Computer proficiency and accurate data entry.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to manage calls, scheduling, and patient needs throughout the day.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Our patients and small team depend on each person being present and ready to work for their scheduled shifts. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential expectations of this role. We also expect advance notice for planned time off and prompt communication when an unexpected situation affects availability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical or dental front desk experience.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software.
• Experience with insurance claims, billing, and payment follow-up.

Compensation

$20–$22 per hour, depending on experience. Higher compensation may be considered for an exceptionally qualified candidate.
