Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Highland Rivers, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating group therapy sessions designed to foster a supportive community where clients can share their experiences, learn from each other, and develop interpersonal skills.

• Providing one-on-one individual therapy to assess clients’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while collaboratively creating personalized counseling plans that align with their goals.

• Developing comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs and preferences of each client, ensuring an individualized approach to healing.

• Monitoring and evaluating client progress through assessment tools and regular feedback sessions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to coordinate care and address complex needs, ensuring that all clients receive holistic support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on supporting young adults aged 18 to 30 who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. You will help these individuals navigate pivotal life transitions and equip them with practical coping strategies. By fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic environment, you will enable clients to explore their emotions, confront their obstacles, and empower them to cultivate healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy).

• Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in Pennsylvania.

• Proven experience providing mental health treatment and therapy, particularly within an outpatient or telehealth setting.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to establish rapport quickly with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, additional experience working specifically with adolescents and young adults in therapeutic settings will be highly valued. Experience in evidence-based practices, treatment planning, and assessment is also a plus. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies will further enhance your ability to connect with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
