Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment planning.

• Collaborate with clients to design individualized therapy plans that align with their personal goals, needs, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address a range of mental health concerns.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them during the recovery process.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in symptoms and goals.

• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay current with advancements in mood disorder therapy and research to inform clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.

• Maintain compliance with all legal and ethical documentation standards regarding client records and privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Opti Mind & Soul Counseling P.C, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you will support various groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will be instrumental in providing a safe space for clients to process their experiences and navigate their path toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• Completion of a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
