Litigation Associate

Overview The practice represents manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and other corporate defendants in complex silicosis and toxic tort litigation. Attorneys in this practice play a key role in all phases of case management, from fact investigation and discovery through motion practice, expert development, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Core responsibilities include conducting legal research; drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery; taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses, plaintiffs, and experts; developing case strategy in collaboration with partners and clients; preparing for and attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials; working closely with expert witnesses and consultants on medical and scientific issues; and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires meaningful experience in complex litigation matters, including products liability, and preparedness to draft and argue discovery and other motions, take and defend depositions, and manage document productions.
