HR Generalist

The HR Coordinator supports daily human resources operations and administration at the company's Secaucus, NJ location. This role serves as a bilingual (English/Spanish) point of contact for employees and managers, maintaining accurate and confidential personnel records, supporting employee relations, and assisting with benefits and union administration. Additionally, the position is responsible for overseeing key compliance functions—including DOT/driver requirements, drug testing, and workplace injury documentation—while driving employee engagement across company locations.

Daily HR Operations & Records: Support day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, managing HR systems, and handling confidential personnel files to ensure audit readiness. Performance & Compliance Tracking: Coordinate and monitor performance reviews, mandatory employee training, departmental deadlines, and overall HR compliance requirements. Employee Relations & Offboarding: Assist with employee relations matters, corrective action/disciplinary documentation, leave of absence, return-to-work protocols, and offboarding processes. DOT & Safety Compliance: Administer and track DOT/driver compliance, employee medical and drug testing, workplace injury documentation, and related safety requirements. Benefits, Union & Payroll Support: Provide support for employee benefits, Open Enrollment activities, union administration, and payroll-related HR status changes. Audits & Process Documentation: Maintain HR compliance records and assist with internal audits, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and process documentation. Employee Engagement & Training: Coordinate employee training programs, engagement initiatives, company events, and internal HR communications across all company locations.

Schedule: Monday – Friday Employment Type: Full-time

Working Location: Secaucus, NJ

Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 / year

Qualifications: Proven experience in an HR role or relevant administrative background Strong communication skills to assist employees and management effectively Business-level proficiency in both English and Spanish
