Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $135,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial transaction processing.
• Manage month end and year end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff while providing guidance, training, and performance support.
• Monitor customer and vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong exposure to general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and close processes.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring accounting personnel within a fast paced, high volume environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience within transportation, logistics, supply chain, freight, or other transaction intensive industries.
• Familiarity with Sage accounting software or similar enterprise financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support process automation and workflow improvement initiatives.
