Lead Software Engineer - Java & Python (Marketing)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in Java 21 and Python, including building applications for public and private cloud environments using CI/CD strategies.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
• Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
• Practical cloud-native experience and exposure to building AI/ML-driven applications for business goals.
• A track record of continuous learning.
• Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, or troubleshooting, and setting expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
• Preferred: Experience with AWS public cloud and Agile and SRE practices.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, especially Apache Cassandra, and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka.

• Lead a team of software engineers in delivering high-quality software that meets functional objectives.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying creative approaches to technical challenges.
• Build secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues and improve the operational stability of applications and systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with business stakeholders and internal teams to achieve outcomes.
• Assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and their suitability for existing systems and information architecture.
• Lead Software Engineering communities of practice to increase awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Monitor technology and industry trends to support innovation and continuous improvement.
• Apply data governance practices to maintain data quality and compliance with organizational standards.
• Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish validation standards and promote reuse of effective approaches.
• Use software development lifecycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
• Develop RESTful APIs and support smooth integration across internal and external services.
