Take your expertise as a Certified School Nurse to the next level with a dynamic, onsite role supporting students and nurses across multiple schools near Des Plaines, IL! This full-time, contract opportunity puts you at the heart of middle and elementary school life, helping ensure every student receives the care and accommodations they need.

As a vital member of a talented nursing team, you’ll travel between four locations—one middle and three elementary schools—assisting and collaborating with on-site registered nurses. Your primary focus will be supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), contributing to the creation of medical emergency plans, and stepping in wherever your skills are needed most.

What You’ll Bring:

• Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) License (required)
• Experience working in school health settings, with strong knowledge of IEP processes
• The flexibility and communication skills to quickly adapt to different buildings and teams
• A passion for student well-being and a commitment to collaborative, compassionate care

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a flexible resource across four schools, supporting full-time RNs on site
• Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings
• Develop or update individual student medical emergency plans
• Ensure consistent and high-quality health services for students
• Foster strong communication between health staff, educators, and families
