This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 19th through June 10th, working regular hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, making it ideal for those seeking a consistent weekday schedule.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified School Nurse (CSN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in school-based care. You will collaborate closely with staff, parents, and students to foster a safe and healthy learning environment for grades 6-8 and Pre-K populations. Your leadership and clinical judgement will make a genuine difference in the lives of young learners.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) or Registered Nurse licensure with eligibility for PEL (Professional Educator License)
• Experience providing nursing services within a school setting
• Thorough understanding of state school health regulations and protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively across grade levels
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly in emergency situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care—including routine health screenings, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions
• Document and manage health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Serve as a health education resource for students, staff, and families
• Coordinate care and referrals to outside agencies as needed
