Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• CSN (Certified School Nurse) certification highly preferred
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and respond swiftly to urgent situations
• Compassionate, patient, and approachable demeanor

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic disease management
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ health and wellness
• Conduct health screenings, immunization compliance checks, and health education sessions
• Respond to emergencies and manage communicable diseases in accordance with established protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation of medical records and nursing activities
