About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead the strategic growth of its philanthropic efforts. The CDO will be a key partner to the CEO, responsible for overseeing a comprehensive development program that includes major and mid-level giving, donor retention, acquisition, and digital fundraising. This role requires a committed believer in Jesus Christ, with a minimum of 7-10 years' nonprofit fundraising experience, and a proven track record in major gift fundraising. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Team and Board members to deepen donor relationships, strengthen fundraising strategy, and prepare the organization for future campaign success. Key responsibilities include executive and strategic leadership, fundraising and donor development, internal collaboration, and external representation. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should be strategic thinkers with strong executive presence, and possess excellent relational and interpersonal skills. The role demands an individual with the ability to engage donors, ministry leaders, and community partners, and a strong instinct for fundraising strategy and revenue growth. The CDO will be expected to manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors, lead a development team, and ensure the effective use of donor systems and technology. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and proficiency in CRM platforms is a plus.
