Human Resources Generalist

This role supports a busy, evolving HR function, working closely with leadership on day-to-day HR operations spanning employee relations, payroll coordination, HR systems, and benefits administration. The ideal person is adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives juggling multiple priorities in a fast-changing setting.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and a dedicated payroll resource to support accurate payroll processing

Support HRIS implementation work, including system updates, data validation, testing, and documentation

Help manage employee relations issues, including documentation and resolution

Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbook content

Oversee benefits-related administration, including HSA/FSA updates within HR systems

Assist with vendor coordination and benefits projects such as broker evaluations and RFPs

Provide broader support across HR initiatives and general administrative needs

6–8 years of progressive generalist HR experience, spanning benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, and retention

Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred; ADP experience a plus)

Solid grasp of employee relations, HR policy, and best practices

Prior experience supporting HR system implementations or upgrades strongly preferred

Strong critical thinking and ability to spot trends in a fast-paced setting

Proactive, adaptable, and interpersonally strong

Full-time, onsite role based in Rockville, MD
