Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the counseling needs of students, utilizing the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria for accurate substance abuse diagnosis.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that encompass both individual and family/group therapy sessions to promote holistic recovery.
\n
• Prepare and implement comprehensive substance abuse counseling goals as part of the client treatment plan.
\n
• Facilitate the development of discharge and continuum of care plans, ensuring students transition smoothly to appropriate support services as necessary.
\n
• Document all interactions, assessments, counseling services, and follow-ups related to each student’s clinical records accurately and in a timely manner.
\n
• Maintain an organized caseload, including regular updates for case management and utilization reviews as part of the treatment planning process.
\n
• Coordinate support services for students and families while keeping precise records of provided services in the clinical documentation.
\n
• Engage and communicate with referral sources, including legal entities, schools, and employers to manage outside resources effectively.
\n
• Utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach to facilitate interventions geared toward addressing crisis situations for assigned students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, your primary focus will be on students dealing with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues. You will work directly with adolescent populations, providing the necessary support to navigate their unique challenges while collaborating closely with educational staff to ensure their safety and well-being within the school environment.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid LCSW license in Colorado and possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.

• Proven expertise in clinical social work, especially in addiction counseling, and demonstrated cultural competency.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the capacity for self-motivation and working independently.

• Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration with students, families, and educational professionals.

Preferred Experience\n
