Work Environment\n

This remote role allows you to work effectively from your home while being part of a supportive team committed to improving the lives of students. Our work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend shifts to accommodate specific needs. You can expect to engage regularly with multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and family members to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's mental health.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, employing evidence-based tools to determine individualized needs.

• Develop and execute tailored treatment plans addressing emotional health, behavioral challenges, and integration within the educational setting.

• Facilitate individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducation sessions to support students in acquiring coping strategies and emotional regulation skills.
\n
• Collaborate with other professionals including special educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to create cohesive care strategies.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and develop support strategies during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate families on mental health issues, treatment options, and resource availability, enhancing family involvement in the therapeutic process.

• Maintain meticulous records and documentation to adhere to legal and ethical standards, demonstrating accountability in treatment delivery.

• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Keep abreast of new developments in mental health laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily works with a diverse patient population, including children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and other learning disabilities. You will be instrumental in helping these students navigate their educational environments and fostering positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years post-licensure experience in mental health, preferably with experience in educational settings.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care strategies.

• Proven ability to perform mental health assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy using a variety of therapeutic approaches.

• Strong crisis intervention skills with a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid understanding of technology related to mental health.

• A strong commitment to professional ethics and the ability to maintain boundaries.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
