Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite in our outpatient office, providing direct care to patients in a welcoming and state-of-the-art facility. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function. Implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure the correct application of therapy techniques and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients by performing diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Assess the patient's home environment and provide recommendations that promote independence in daily activities.
• Deliver therapy services as prescribed by the referring physician, ensuring alignment with treatment goals.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual exercises, traction, and massage, while educating patients on non-manual exercises.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, collaborating with the medical team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans, share observations, and update care strategies as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all documentation standards.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and their families on treatment processes, equipment usage, and home exercise programs.
• Complete on-site assessments and adjust care plans based on evolving patient needs and feedback.
• Participate in other assigned tasks and responsibilities aimed at achieving organizational objectives and enhancing patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic patients range from those recovering from surgical procedures, such as joint replacements, to individuals suffering from chronic pain and sports-related injuries. Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, demonstrating proficiency in patient assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline documentation and patient management.
• Previous experience working in fast-paced outpatient environments, managing diverse patient caseloads.
