Senior Civil Engineer – Natural Gas Capital Projects We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support major natural gas capital projects across Michigan. This role provides engineering leadership for projects involving gas distribution, transmission, regulator stations, compression facilities, storage facilities, and related infrastructure upgrades. Job Highlights Technical engineering leadership Field and construction involvement Multidisciplinary project collaboration Large‑scale industrial utility projects Responsibilities Lead civil engineering support for natural gas capital projects Define project scope and coordinate engineering deliverables Manage consulting engineering and construction service contracts Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction packages Support construction activities, inspections, walkdowns, and quality reviews Provide project updates regarding scope, schedule, cost, and risk Assist with closeout documentation including record drawings and test records Preferred Technical Experience Environmental permitting Industrial or utility facility projects Engineering drawings and technical specifications Knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI 318, AWS D1.1, and ASCE 7 Qualifications Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently in fast‑paced project environments Comfortable working in industrial/construction settings Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Michigan (typically three days per week) Additional Information Candidates can be located anywhere in Michigan or be willing to relocate.
