Capital Reporting System Administrator

King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Solid Waste Division (SWD) is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented professional to serve as the Capital Reporting System Administrator within the Project Management Office (PMO). The role focuses on managing the PRISM database, providing system administration and reporting support, and improving data processes to aid project managers and program staff in making information‑driven decisions. About This Role As the subsystem administrator, you will deliver user support, guide project managers and engineers in using PRISM, and act as the liaison with partner teams to coordinate system improvements. Your work will strengthen reporting, processes, and system usage across the division’s capital improvement projects. About the Team The PMO manages and supports capital improvement projects that maintain and enhance SWD assets such as transfer stations and landfills. The team coordinates project teams, consultants, contractors, and technical staff to ensure successful, aligned project delivery. Responsibilities Serve as liaison between SWD and the Wastewater Treatment Division’s PRISM team. Oversee PRISM user access administration, including account setup, updates, and access control compliance. Train, onboard, and support PRISM users in following established business processes. Coordinate quarterly capital project status reporting and submittals. Lead efforts to improve and streamline business processes related to project reporting and system use. Coordinate and lead biennial project forecast updates, guiding and supporting users through the process. Develop and coordinate programs or projects for the PMO team and cross‑functionally as needed. Participate in strategic planning, development, and revision of work procedures and process improvements. Develop and manage projects of limited scope within the unit. Analyze and evaluate data for assigned projects and technical systems and present options to management. Provide operational and logistical support to PMO staff, including limited administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Minimum one year of experience administering or using a complex project tracking system. Strong technical aptitude with experience supporting individuals and groups in the use of systems or software programs. Demonstrated proficiency in supporting a team of technical staff. Experience supporting the administration, maintenance, or continuous improvement of business systems, processes, or reporting programs. Ability to manage scheduled reporting cycles or documentation updates with accuracy and consistency. Experience supporting operational or logistical activities in a project or program environment. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and produce high‑quality deliverables in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical professionals and diverse team members. Advanced organizing, planning, and process management skills. Experience as a software trainer. Working Conditions Location: Hybrid model with days in the office and telecommuting. Primary onsite location is King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson, Seattle, WA 98104. Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Covered under FLSA and overtime eligible with supervisor approval. Union Representation: Teamsters 117 Professional and Technical.
