About the job Accountant

Accountant requires:

2-4 years' accounting/auditing experience
State government accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or compensatory experience working in the accounting field
Broad knowledge of federal, state and agency budgeting and fiscal policies and procedures
Extensive knowledge of agency organization and function
Thorough knowledge and the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Thorough knowledge and the ability to apply Generally Accepted Audit Standards and related theories
GAAP
Thorough knowledge of Governmental Accounting
GAAS
Euna financial & grannts software experience.
PeopleSoft

DUTIES:

Reconcile projects

-Audit project activities from the past to correct the activities by project

-ProcessJournal Entries as needed

-Reconcileand request assigned projects to be closed upon completion

-Engagein comprehensive reviews of financial data

-Processrevenue transactions within PeopleSoft as needed

-Reviewand understand Notice of Awards and Grant Requirements as they relate to the reconciliation of grants/projects
