This position is characterized by a collaborative and flexible remote work setting that allows for efficient client interactions while maintaining a focus on personal well-being. Our outpatient office is equipped with the necessary tools to facilitate effective virtual therapy sessions, ensuring that our therapists can provide high-quality care with minimal disruptions. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, mental health conditions, and identify appropriate treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, utilizing established therapeutic frameworks such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide emergency crisis intervention support, particularly during trauma-related crises, ensuring patients feel safe and supported.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions and progress, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities geared towards trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to provide the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and they rely on the expertise of our therapists to guide them in navigating their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is strongly preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies, including resilience-building approaches.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
