Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in Burlington, Vermont. • Position: RN for Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, Monday to Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Start Date: 07/13/2026
• End Date: 10/25/2026

• Certification and Education Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • NIHSS certification prior to start
  • Vermont state RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care environment
  • Prior experience in large, teaching hospitals preferred
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years required
• Clinical Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to manage IVs, titrating drips, and critical vent care
  • Experience with multi-system disease management, CRRT, IABP + sheath removal, and ventilator management
  • Proficient in interpreting EKGs and responding to emergent diagnoses
  • Experience working with CABG, CCO, and non-ECMO critical care cases
• Additional Information:
  • Past work experience at similar large facilities with multiple renewals preferred
  • Eligible for internal or travel staffing assignment, depending on the candidate's background
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in this area
  • All employment gaps over 90 days need to be explained
