Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. Our restaurant is committed to serving America's favorite dishes as well as steakhouse classics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high volume, full service kitchen management and a strong background in upscale and/or fine dining. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while creating innovative menus that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the culinary team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring adherence to food handling and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Assist in creating dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Implement effective kitchen management practices with a focus on quality, conistency and efficiency.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and presentation.
- Coordinate catering services for events, ensuring exceptional service and quality.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven experience as an Executive Chef or CDC within a high-volume, upscale kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of American, French classics, and steakhouse cuisine
- Experience in menu planning, food handling, and inventory management is essential.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
