If you're looking for a company where quality matters more than volume and where your expertise is appreciated, you'll feel right at home.About the Position:As an Experienced Title Examiner, you'll research and analyze title records, identify potential issues, prepare title commitments, and work closely with our processors and closers to help transactions move efficiently from contract to closing. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving puzzles, digging into complicated title issues, and taking ownership of producing accurate work.Responsibilities:Examine residential title using public records, DataTrace, and other title research resources.Research deeds, mortgages, easements, restrictions, judgments, liens, tax records, probate matters, bankruptcies, foreclosures, and other instruments affecting title.Prepare accurate title commitments and supporting documentation.Identify title defects and determine requirements necessary to clear title.Work directly with processors, closers, underwriters, attorneys, lenders, and Realtors to resolve title issues.Maintain accurate documentation and organized electronic files.Assist with underwriting questions and unusual title situations when needed.Deliver accurate work while maintaining excellent turnaround times.Qualifications:Required:Previous Title Examiner experience is required.Strong knowledge of residential title examination.Experience preparing title commitments.Working knowledge of title insurance requirements and underwriting guidelines.Experience using DataTrace or similar title research platforms.Excellent analytical and research skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.Preferred:SoftPro experience.Multi-county examination experience.Experience resolving complex title issues.You'll Thrive Here If You...Enjoy solving complicated title issues.Believe details matter.Take ownership of your work.Communicate proactively.Like working with experienced professionals.Stay calm under pressure.Take pride in producing work you can stand behind.Enjoy helping teammates solve problems.Why Experienced Examiners Choose Barrister Title:We know experienced examiners have options.
