Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, you will work onsite in our collaboratively designed rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans by guiding patients through structured exercise regimens tailored to their specific needs, aiding rehabilitation post-surgery or injury.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques, modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercises to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress by systematically observing their physical responses to treatment and maintain accurate documentation to report findings to the supervising physical therapist.
• Equip patients with assistive devices, including walkers and braces, ensuring they safely engage in daily activities and maximize their mobility.
• Educate patients and their families about post-treatment self-care strategies, providing tips and resources for effective home rehabilitation.
• Participate in continuous training and professional development, while also mentoring and providing guidance to junior therapy staff regarding best practice techniques and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who have undergone orthopedic procedures, sustained sports-related injuries, or are experiencing chronic pain due to musculoskeletal disorders. By developing a rapport with your patients, you will facilitate a supportive atmosphere that fosters motivation and trust, key components to successful rehabilitation and post-therapy independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program is required.
• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficient in assessing patient conditions and implementing appropriate therapy techniques to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Preferred Experience

We strongly prefer candidates with at least 2 years of professional experience in orthopedic rehabilitation settings. Experience with advanced treatment modalities and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous for managing patient documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
