Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our modern Rehabilitation Facility located in scenic Saint Petersburg, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, reviewing pertinent medical history, performing assessments, and documenting results in a clear and concise manner.
• Develop and communicate individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, incorporating insights gathered from discussions with the patient and their families to set achievable goals.
• Administer evidence-based treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, continually modifying the treatment plan as necessary to align with the patient's progress and health needs.
• Engage collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, recognizing when to consult or refer to additional medical or rehabilitation services.
• Implement effective discharge planning and follow-up strategies, ensuring that all patient care activities are accurately documented and billed in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills by managing your schedule effectively, participating in scheduled meetings, and contributing to both hospital- and community-based marketing efforts.
• Actively participate in departmental initiatives aimed at achieving strategic goals, ensuring compliance with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Pursue and direct professional development opportunities to enhance personal competency while also serving as a clinical instructor to students in training.
• Focus on providing an outstanding customer experience through flexibility and adaptability in care delivery.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at improving patient access to care and understanding relevant performance metrics to contribute to ongoing improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of patients, ranging from those recovering from surgery and injury to individuals managing chronic pain and mobility concerns. Your expertise and empathy will play a critical role in helping these patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida is essential.
• Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of 2 years of professional experience is ideal, candidates with a strong commitment to patient care and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
