Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents to identify their unique needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and cultural background.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions via telehealth, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy sessions.

• Actively engage with patients’ families by offering parental guidance and support, enabling effective collaboration toward improved mental health outcomes.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and immediate support strategies to assist children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in electronic health records, adhering to legal, ethical, and agency standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings for case reviews, and contribute to peer consultations to elevate the overall quality of care provided.

• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in child and adolescent mental health, contributing to professional knowledge sharing.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our work is on children and adolescents grappling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Our counselors work closely with young patients, fostering an environment that prioritizes trust and empathy, which is crucial for effective therapy. By utilizing telehealth tools, we ensure that even young clients can engage comfortably from the privacy of their own homes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure (LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT) is mandatory to practice in the state of California.

• Minimum two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferred.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrable experience providing individual and family therapy, especially through telehealth platforms.

• Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for working with youth and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential, alongside proficiency in standard computer applications.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a telehealth environment preferred.

• Experience with evidence-based practices that include but are not limited to CBT, DBT, and family systems therapy.

• Familiarity with community resources and referral processes in child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
