This position allows for a flexible work setting that is primarily remote, enabling therapists to connect with clients through secure video conferencing and telehealth technologies. Although most interactions are virtual, our therapists also have the opportunity to collaborate and meet with each other in our Elk Grove, California outpatient office, fostering a supportive and engaging professional community.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mood disorder symptoms, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration to create effective treatment plans.

• Develop personalized treatment strategies that align with the individual client's goals, values, and preferences, applying therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices, empowering them with the necessary tools for recovery.

• Monitor and document client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans in response to feedback and assessment outcomes to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness.

• Stay informed about the latest research and innovations in mood disorder treatment to continually refine and enhance therapeutic methodologies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client privacy is upheld at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients typically include individuals and families dealing with mood disorders, interpersonal conflicts, and various life transitions. The therapist in this role will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse clientele, providing support and guidance as they navigate their challenges and strive for emotional wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling or therapeutic services in a mental health setting is essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain trusting, therapeutic relationships with clients.
