Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at High Energy Body & Home Care, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a variety of critical tasks designed to promote patient recovery and independence, which include:

• Directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function, while maximizing each patient's performance capabilities.
• Supervising physical therapy assistants, assuring adherence to care plans and therapeutic methods that align with state laws and regulations.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical function using diagnostic assessments related to muscles, nerves, joints, and daily living activities.
• Advising on necessary modifications to patients' home environments to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance their independence.
• Providing physical therapy in accordance with physician prescriptions, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines at all times.
• Delivering therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, motivating clients to engage in their recovery journeys.
• Administering treatments involving physical agents such as traction and massage, while monitoring patient responses.
• Evaluating and fitting patients with prosthetic and orthotic devices to improve functionality, while providing recommendations to physicians.
• Documenting all aspects of patient care, including initial evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries, maintaining accurate records according to agency and healthcare regulations.
• Engaging as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to discuss comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Providing guidance to patients and families regarding home care and physical therapy programs, ensuring a strong support system for recovery.
• Adhering to deadlines for submitting clinical orders and documentation to uphold organizational standards.
• Conducting on-site functional assessments and revising care plans to ensure effective utilization of community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals requiring outpatient rehabilitation, who may be recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and quality of life. You will be tasked with fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and encourages patients to take an active role in their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required, although advanced degrees are preferred.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on patient and family engagement.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
