Join The BILH TeamWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:Review results of monthly water cultures of all HD equipment; and follow protocol for abnormal results (essential)Daily disinfecting and weekly bleaching of machines (essential)Maintaining machines which include updating clipboards, restocking machine supplies and ensuring machines are tidy and ready for use.. (essential)Physical requirement needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift. (essential)Assists with patient care including: transfers of patients into bed, obtaining weight, applying monitoring equipment (essential)Assists in monitoring through treatment (essential)Assists with set up and monitoring of all hemodialysis equipment (essential)Collects monthly water cultures of all HD equipment; Review results and follow protocol for abnormal results (essential)Identifies and participates in quality improvement process (essential)Closely collaborates with Clinical Engineering and outside vendors to maintain equipment (essential)Daily water testing, completion of equipment quality control checks, machine logs, machine disinfection per policy (essential)Works with materials management team to maintain Par levels of supplies, monitors integrity of products including expiration dates, participates in the evaluation of new products and supplies as needed (essential)Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED required. Vocational or Technical training preferred.License Cert Clin Hemodialysis Tech required.1-3 years related work experience required.Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in Acute Care Hemodialysis Unit preferredCompetenciesDecision Making: Ability to make decisions that are based on specific instructions, standard practices and established procedures which generally require little or no supervision.Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures and by identifying opportunities for process improvements.Independence of Action: Ability to follow general instructions and procedures as provided. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.Work routine is fairly consistent, but employee needs to be able to use judgment to respond to events several times a week.Potential exposure to adverse environmental conditionsDaily: Protective equipment required(Respirator,earplugs,mask,gloves,eyewear etc), Potential exposure to infectious diseases and/or airborne pathogens, Potential exposure to infectious diseases and/or bloodborne pathogens.Health Care Status: HCW1: Regular, day-to-day contact; both face-to-face and hands-on (having close contact within three feet for at least five minutes). Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
