This position is entirely remote, allowing counselors to operate from their chosen environment while effectively engaging with clients through telehealth platforms. As a part of our innovative team, you will utilize electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to document sessions, maintain records, and track client progress while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and document findings meticulously, from the first consultation through the treatment process.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to establish a foundation for effective treatment.

• Develop evidence-based intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions that foster open communication and support emotional healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and medical providers to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Proactively follow up with clients who may require psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization to ensure continuity of care.

• Assist clients and their families in identifying barriers to recovery and provide strategies to overcome these challenges, enhancing lifestyle changes and well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our diverse client population spans various demographics and backgrounds, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. Counselors will have the opportunity to work with clients from age groups ranging from children to adults, as well as families seeking support in navigating mental health challenges. A commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity is essential in understanding and addressing the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of Massachusetts as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience providing direct mental health counseling to a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly with AVATAR or equivalent platforms, is highly encouraged.

• Understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, alongside experience with addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with strong interpersonal abilities and empathy.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in telehealth or remote mental health counseling.

• Work experience in a multidisciplinary setting involving collaboration with healthcare professionals in treatment planning.

• Knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications and their implications on counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
