Description

The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for independently managing all aspects of the accounting cycle across multiple entities, from daily transactions through financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple entities
• Record and reconcile all financial transactions in the general ledger
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation
• Manage multi-state sales tax compliance, including preparation and timely filing of returns across all applicable jurisdictions
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections
• Prepare budgeting reports and financial analysis for management review
• Oversee inventory tracking and ensure accurate financial allocation across assets, liabilities, and COGS across multiple entities
• Manage Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and job costing across multiple entities using the Percentage of Completion Method
• Serve as payroll backup as needed

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of full charge bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proven experience managing multiple companies, branches, or distinct client portfolios simultaneously
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required; Enterprise Online a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
• Experience with multi-state sales tax compliance and filing
• Construction accounting knowledge, including job costing, WIP schedules, and Percentage of Completion Method
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and cost allocation
• Working knowledge of payroll processing
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Sheets
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, in-office position. The role is primarily sedentary but may involve standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
