Direct Care Staff
Health Providers is looking to hire full time and part time positions, day, afternoon and evening shifts, for Direct Care Staff. We work with individuals with developmental disabilities in an adult home setting with homes in Montevideo. Experience is helpful, but not required, and we do offer paid training and competitive wages - $17.25-21.21 per hour. Pay is based on experience in 245D adult and child foster care facilities. (CNA's welcome! We offer an additional $1 for any currently licensed CNA's). Employees in a full time position also are offered medical, dental, and a 401K package with company matching.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Assist the resident with personal cares which may include all or some of the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering, rubbing with lotions, fingernail cares and foot cares if instructed to do so, redirection of a confused resident, assisting residents during meal times and other duties as assigned.
- Treat consumers with self-worth and show consideration to them in all situations.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy with all consumer information.
- Assist with dressing, grooming and oral cares as directed and assigned.
- Document consumer progress and activities that the consumers perform daily. Note any discrepancies within care plans/individual abuse prevention plans.
- Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
- Assist with treatments/programs as delegated by RN/supervisor per individualized care/program plans.
- Implement individual abuse prevention plans and the program abuse prevention.
