Project Manager

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving shared drives, personal drives, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Active Directory, licensing optimization, governance, and change management. This role will oversee planning, migration execution, stakeholder coordination, process optimization, and project closure activities to ensure a seamless transition from legacy on-premises systems to modern cloud-based collaboration and storage platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, assessment, and execution of enterprise file share and cloud migration initiatives
• Conduct inventory and assessment of shared drives, personal drives, permissions, ownership, data classifications, and storage usage
• Identify data for migration, archival, or secure deletion
• Assess dependencies and impacts across applications, systems, and business processes using shared or personal drives
• Evaluate migration impacts related to MoveIt, file shares, OneDrive, SharePoint, and related collaboration platforms
• Assess impacts to backup systems, scanning devices, and third-party tools associated with storage environments
• Analyze and manage Active Directory environments including on-premises and Microsoft Entra identities
• Support identity cleanup, account classification, onboarding automation, and directory synchronization initiatives
• Conduct Microsoft 365 licensing analysis, optimization, and cost assessment activities
• Define governance, security, retention, and permissions strategies for SharePoint and OneDrive environments
• Develop migration, validation, testing, communication, and change management plans
• Coordinate migration execution activities for shared drives, personal drives, and dependent applications
• Oversee SharePoint and OneDrive provisioning, migration validation, integrity checks, and user readiness activities
• Coordinate with business owners, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful application and system migrations
• Develop training materials, user communication plans, and adoption support strategies
• Support storage modernization, backup strategy reviews, disaster recovery planning, and retention policy implementation
• Manage decommissioning of legacy systems, archival activities, and formal project handoff processes
• Develop RACI documentation and ensure operational ownership and support responsibilities are clearly defined
• Ensure all project deliverables receive appropriate stakeholder validation and sign-off

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience managing Active Directory environments including hybrid identity architectures
• Knowledge of data migration methodologies, governance frameworks, and retention strategies
• Experience with file share migrations, cloud collaboration platforms, and enterprise storage modernization
• Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models and optimization strategies
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical and business teams
• Experience developing change management, communication, training, and adoption plans
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning concepts
• Strong stakeholder management, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple project phases, priorities, and enterprise dependencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool and PowerShell automation
• Experience with third-party backup and migration solutions
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and data governance standards
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or public sector environments
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
