Accounts Payable Clerk

Mill River Country Club in Stratford, CT is seeking an experienced part-time Accounts Payable Clerk to work within the Accounting Department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing incoming invoices with accuracy and in compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in ensuring all bills are processed and paid within established terms to maintain positive vendor relationships. Effective communication with vendors via phone and email is essential, along with the ability to gather required documentation and research any discrepancies or short payments. Key Responsibilities Receive and enter vendor invoices into the Accounting system, ensuring accurate property and coding. Maintain and monitor the Accounts Payable email inbox, ensuring timely responses to internal teams and vendors. Generate check runs, ensuring checks are printed accurately and remittances match supporting documentation. Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices to maintain vendor relationships Communicate with vendors via email and phone regarding invoices, payments, and discrepancies Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions Collaborate with internal departments as needed to ensure proper invoice processing Related duties as assigned Requirements: Strong attention to detail with the ability to process invoices accurately Solid understanding of accounts payable principles and practices Proficiency in data entry and MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving and organizational skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Mill River Country Club Inc
