Commercial Finance Manager

Finance Manager, Client & HealthThe Finance Manager, Client & Health serves as an advisor and "hands-on" strategic business partner to the Business Unit Directors. This role is responsible for continuously challenging the businesses to drive strong financial performance in terms of both sales growth and profitability. The Finance Manager should have an eye towards continuous improvement and proactively lead efforts to identify opportunities and implement solutions. A strong candidate for this role will be able to move seamlessly between time-sensitive, tactical financial work (e.g. month end reporting and financial analysis, monthly forecasts, annual budget) and more high-level commercial support (e.g. annual strategic plans, pricing strategy, and acquisition analysis.) This person should be a highly-skilled finance professional who has a solid foundation in standard accounting principles, and now wants to use that knowledge to go beyond processing transactions and move into influencing decisions. The individual must be highly motivated, have strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to communicate timelines and progress. In this role, it is critical to establish good working relationships with the commercial business teams, supply chain colleagues, and the finance & accounting teams. The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills and possess strong attention to detail, while comprehending the bigger picture. The individual must be able to translate finance & accounting detail for different audiences, including Balchem's CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors. This role reports to the Commercial Finance Director for Balchem's largest segment, Client & Health.Key Responsibilities:Lead thoughtful, timely month-end reporting and financial analysis for Business Units each month. Be able to clearly tell the story of what happened, why it happened, and what we can expect going forward.Lead monthly forecast and annual budget processes for Business Units, including measuring performance against the forecast and budget.Help drive the organization to find ways to hit or improve on targets. Use insight, analysis and critical thinking to evaluate options and make recommendations.Support the business in developing and executing on effective business strategies in preparation for the annual Strategic Reviews and throughout the year.Perform routine and ad-hoc financial analysis utilizing financial modeling and business analysis techniques.Drive continuous improvement within the Finance & Accounting function, including improving the quality and reliability of relevant reporting and analytics. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take the lead on implementing action plans.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Finance/AccountingMinimum 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience with increasing responsibilitiesStrong Excel skills and experience in ERP systems; Power BI and Microsoft D365 is a plusStrong ability to solve problems, prioritize and multitaskStrong written and verbal communication skills and executive presenceOwnership, accountability and ability to influence othersDemonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships across functionsThe suggested pay range for this role, depending upon experience, is between $125K-140K with bonus potentialCandidate Details:5+ to 7 years experienceSeniority Level - Mid-SeniorMinimum Education - Bachelor's DegreeWillingness to Travel - Occasionally
