As we continue to grow and evolve, we are looking for a Senior Accountant based in New York City, NY, United States, who wants to play a key role in our daily financial operations and help ensure accuracy, structure, and compliance across our finance processes. 

 

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing US organization. In this role, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations of Capture One US Inc., helping ensure our financial processes are accurate, compliant, and ready to scale. 

You'll work closely with colleagues across our global finance team and partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders. From month-end close and reconciliations to tax compliance and process improvements, you'll play an important role in building and supporting the financial foundation of our US B2B business.

What You Will Do 

You'll be responsible for a broad range of accounting and finance activities, including: 

• Owning day-to-day accounting operations for Capture One US Inc. 

• Managing accounts receivable, including customer invoicing and collections follow-up. 

• Managing accounts payable, including vendor invoice processing and payments. 

• Maintaining vendor and customer master data and supporting documentation. 

• Preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. 

• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of differences across group entities. 

• Supporting and executing monthly and annual close activities. 

• Supporting sales and use tax compliance activities across US jurisdictions. 

• Coordinating with external tax advisors on federal, state, and local income tax compliance and reporting requirements. 

• Supporting statutory, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements. 

• Maintaining finance process documentation and internal controls. 

• Collaborating with colleagues across finance and the wider business to ensure smooth financial operations. 

 

What We Are Looking For 

• Experience as a Senior Accountant, Accountant, or similar finance professional, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles. 

• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations. 

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. 

• Experience supporting sales and use tax compliance. 

• Experience collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to work. 

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a growing environment. 

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an international team. 

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills. 

• Experience working in a software, technology, SaaS, or international company is a plus.
